Well, on my birthday my boyfriend proposed to me and we are now engaged to be married. My life is rather hectic with our new house and planning for a wedding. I just don't have the time to update this thing as much as I used to. And, to be honest, I don't think anyone reads this anyway. So, I'll say good bye and wish everyone a lovely life.

Well, now that we have the house, it's all about trying to get stuff done before the end of the month. Jesse has to be out of his place at the end of the month so we really need to get some painting done and restaining done. This weekend is going to be busy for me. *sigh* But, we're having lots of fun doing it! I must say, though, I would never pass as a professional painter....

Yesterday was a dream... Jesse and I had our Closing on our house yesterday and we are now officially homeowners. ^_^ Now, we have so much work to do!! We need to pull out the ugly carpet, sand and stain the beautiful wood floors, paint the walls and move furniture. This will be like a two week project.

Oh! And I got a new cell phone! It's a Sprint PCS phone that lets you take pictures and stuff. It's pretty crisp and high-tech looking. ^_^ Anyway, yay! I'm so happy!

Well, as you may know, South Dakota had a rash of tornadoes last night. I think the news said that about 60 tornadoes were sighted last night all over the state. I was working and we had to close early and get into our storm shelter. There were a couple of funnel clouds sighted in our town, but no one was hurt or killed as far as I know. It's kinda wild going out today, though, with debris all over the place. Ah... good ol' South Dakota. ^_^

Well, I'm going to start talking about some things I've been doing lately. My boyfriend and I have been looking for a house to buy since... oh.... about four months ago. We're really wanting to move in together and, since we know we're probably going to get married (no, he hasn't proposed yet... technically.), we decided to get a house together. The whole process has been rather exciting, yet disappointing at the same time. Just when we get our sights set on a nice home, someone else buys it before us. But now, we really really like this new house. It's a cute older home made in the 1920's or something. It has a lot of fixing up to do, but we're excited about it. We're hoping to get our hands on this property as soon as possible because we don't want to be defeated again. Anyway, we've already let the realator and mortgage lender know what we want and we're just waiting for the approval to make an offer on the place. In other news, I found out that another job is opening up that I really want to have. I think I might have a good chance in getting it. It wouldn't really be getting a pay increase like the last job I wanted, but it would still be a sweet job and I'd have a lot of opportunities to move up in the company. ^_^

Well, that's what has been happening lately. Nothing awe-inspiring, but... interesting. Ja mata!

I did not get the job I applied for. =(

I was told by the HR Representative (who is really cool, by the way) that I was a top contender for the job and that they may be posting another position for the same department. She said that if we do post another position, she wants me to apply again because I would have a good shot at it.

So, I'm a little bummed, but still hoping for the best. If I don't get the job, maybe it was just not meant to be...

Last Thursday I went to Kentucky Fried Chicken and ate some chicken strips. BAD IDEA. I suddenly got a bout of the stomach virus from something in that chicken. I was ill for three days starting that night. I'm over it now, but... that's twice this year that I got food poisoning!! What's going on? I must be cursed...

In other news, I think this week is the week I find out if I got the job I applied for. *crosses fingers* I hope I get the job!! I don't want to have to look for a different job at the end of June.... *sob*

Here's my new layout that I've been promising for the past few months. I don't have much news. At least, I don't think I do. I've still been working at the same place, although, we're still getting canned at the end of June. I'm applying for a different position within the company after my department leaves. I hope that I can get it! I'll know by the end of this week. I seriously need some vacation time as I feel like I'm burnt out with work.

Oh, goodness.... It's been so long since I updated this thing. Well, to be honest, nothing has really happened since January. I mean, my car has pretty much gone to shit now and I can't drive it (it's being taken in tomorrow to be looked at). Otherwise, I've been spending most of my time with my boyfriend and really haven't had much to say. Although, today I just found out that I'm going to lose my job at around July of this year so that's put a bummer on things. I really don't want to go through another lay off. And I really don't want to have to try and get a new job again....

This week has just not been my week. *sigh* Well, it started out great. I took Monday off from work as vacation to hang out with my boyfriend all day. We had lots of fun. But, Tuesday, I was woken up by my grandmother most frighteningly.

It seems that sometime Tuesday morning between 8-9am, someone hit my car parked on the side of the street! And, they left the scene of the crime with no note or anything. So, I have a hit-and-run on my hands!!!!

Unfortunately, because I don't know who hit me, I have to pay for it! My car insurance will only pay for damages over $1000, so I have to come up with the rest of the money. Somehow. A guy is going to come tomorrow or Friday to give me an estimate on how much it's going to cost to be fixed. *sigh* I just want to know the yahoo that hit my car and ran away. They're obviously poor and without insurance. Damn them and their lack of morals!

Anyway, today didn't start out well either. It was a power struggle between me and my parents today about driving the car. At first look, it doesn't look like the damage is that bad. Honestly, the damage is all cosmetic. So, I believe (and so does my boyfriend) that I can safely drive the car even though it won't look too cute. My parent's, however, are overly cautious and think that I shouldn't touch the car until it's estimated. *sigh* That made coming to work today quite a pain due to other interferences which I'm not going to get into. I was not happy with them at all. (-_-)

I hope my week lightens up or I shall become depressed....

Aerien, There has been a delay in shipping. They couldn't import it so we have to wait until February. ETA now is Feb 16th - 24th.

*sob* I wanted you to have it now!!! It was my gift to you! *sob*sob* Damn it!!! *sob*sob*sob*

Aerien, I had to order the CD through Amazon.com. They had to import the CD from overseas and then will send it to you. They haven't sent it yet because they haven't received the import yet. They said that the estimated delivery date was between 01/07 and 01/16. So, if you don't have your CD yet, don't be discouraged. It's on it's way. ^_^

Woah. Last night was.... interesting. We went to a really cool bar last night called "Nutty's". It's cool because you get free peanuts there and, well, the atmosphere is fun. I had two Sex on the Beaches (they mixed them REALLY strong!) and quite a few peanuts. Let me just tell you, the combination of the two made me ill in the bathroom. *sigh*.

But, we had fun and my friend who turned 21 was pretty ripped by the time we left. People, remind me to take it slow with the alcohol next time, though. I don't really want any more "ill" episodes.

I think my stomach is just too weak....

Well, my sister has gone back to college in Washington. I feel kinda bad because I didn't spend a lot of time with her. We were both busy with other friends. But, at least I got some sisterly talking and shopping done while she was here.

Aerien, you should be receiving your CD sometime this week. Let me know when you have it, okay?

Tonight we'll (my boyfriend and I) will go boozing! A friend of ours (co-worker) is turning 21 today and, as you all know, 21 is the legal drinking age in the USA. I'm kinda excited. Definitely gonna have a couple Sex on the Beach's. Yum!

Well folks, my Christmas was nice. I got 3 sweaters from my father, an uber-cute medieval shirt from my sister, an easle-desk from my brother, and some X anime from my boyfriend. He swears that there's more comming, but, really I don't need anything else. I'm set.

New Years Eve was... interesting. I had to work that day, but only until 7:00. After that, we met up with some of my friends at Antonio's house. Who I was really eager to see was my friend Brad who I hadn't talked to in a couple months. But... unfortunately I was completely snubbed by him. I walked up to him all friendly-like and said "Hey, whats up? How are you?" and all he did was say "Hey." and walk away. The entire time I was there, he barely looked at me and stayed on the opposite side of the room. I was, needless to say, rather sad and disappointed. My boyfriend was extremely pissed that he treated me that way. But, what's really weird, is that Brad's wife was extremely sweet and nice to me. So were his friends. So, I'm a little confused on what's going on.
After that disappointment, we were supposed to go to a party at a hotel downtown. Once we got there, though, noone was in the room so we had to call our friends on their cell to see where they were. They were at the dance club, ACME. Ugh. I really don't like ACME. It's just a huge meat-market and every there seems desperate to "get some". It's not that cool at all. So we bailed, went to his house, cuddled and watched the Disney channel. ^_^ Sweet!

For the past 24 hours, I have been seriously ill. I think I got food poisoning from that italian restaurant we went to. (-_-) I'm better now, but I feel like I've lost 3 pounds and my stomach has shrunk to half the size it used to be.
